DME Sustainable Mobility Workshop

A one-day event providing an opportunity for industry members to inform, discuss, and strategize on the subject of DME and its potential role as a sustainable, viable alternative automotive fuel, with an emphasis on collaborative commercial, technical and regulatory efforts now underway related to regulations, specifications, demonstrations, and commercialization.

In the wake of increasing calls for action on emissions and air quality, sentiment against diesel and compression ignition engines, and a growing emphasis on transportation sustainability, zero-emission vehicles and e-fuels, the workshop will provide industry stakeholders and policymakers with an opportunity to discuss the issues, to examine the case for DME as a sustainable low-emission fuel, to learn more about DME and current commercial developments, and to speak with potential partners in this space.

The program will include the display and demonstration of the world's first DME-powered passenger vehicle (Ford Mondeo) built by an OEM, and updates from stakeholders representing powertrain, fuel, power and equipment producers, about the collaborative commercial, technical and regulatory efforts underway related to DME fuel applications, along with information about new specifications now being developed.
